Wonder Woman VS Xena

This has been in the works for some time and every time I sat down to begin it, something else always came up. But after more then 30 rough sketches and concepts, I began this piece 2 weeks ago.

Wonder Woman and Xena are 2 of Kellie's favourite action personas, so I threw them together in this greek setting, locked in a sword fight.

The image was originally peniled on layout paper and inked in uni-pin black ink pens. Coloued in photoshop elements with a wacom bamboo tablet.

This was a difficult piece for me, as I choose 2 difficult positions for the characters, the architecture in the back and fore-ground required a lot of research, and when it came to the colouring I attempted many new techniques I never tried before.

There is SOOOO much that needs to be perfected, but every time I touch pen to pager, or stylus to tablet... I feel like I moving forward. This picture, however, will be a land mark for me.
