Witchblade - Authority

Sara Pezinni, star of Image comics Witchblade title, illustrated by the legendry Michael Turner, one of my biggest influences.

I wanted to do this Witchblade pic for 2 reasons.
One, I never drew Witchblade before, and growing up reading titles like this in the 90s, I was always intimidated by the complexity of the armor.
Two, Ive been wanting to do a cluttered indoor pic for a while with several different vanishing points and some extreme lighting differences. This seemed like the perfect project for this.

There are several little "Easter-eggs" in this piece. Firstly the stone cat on Sara's desk, which relates to the second Witchblade/Tomb Raider crossover. The statue even has a tag on it, with the givers name.

Lastly, seen as how my girlfriend and I are huge Law and Order: SVU fans, which like Witchblade, is also based around the NYPD, you can find SVU star, Mariska Hargitay (my girlfriends hero) in the top right wanted poster.
