Tina DOA5U Costume Contest Entry (with LINK)

This is my entry for the Team Ninja Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Costume Contest.

I selected Tina Armstrong for this for 2 major reasons; she is favourite character and has been for the last 12 years since DOA2, and as some of you may already know, I have some experience designing wrestling gear, so this just fit perfectly.

The design is a Luchador Hunter. The idea being that Tina was a Heel (wrestling bad-guy) during her early years touring the international circuit. I love the look of female Japanese gear. I selected purple as the primary colour as Tina's other costumes are mainly red and blue, and I wanted to do something new.

The outfits over all theme is Duality. Even though she is consumed with "hunting" luchadors and removing their masks, her outfit itself if a contradiction. Each side from her head, trunk, arms and legs is not symmetrical and don't match. I chose this specifically to push the idea that she is a villain, so outwardly focused on her goal, that she can't see what she herself has become.

Tina Armstrong and the Dead or Alive series belong to Team Ninja.
