Quake 2 Grunt

So this was a REALLY special one for me

The first venture I ever had into ANY form of 3d was 16 years ago, when I edited my first Quake 2 skin. I worked on it for 4 day in MS Paint, using the most HORRIBLE orange and red colour scheme. But after spending an hour trying to get it into the game with my long term gaming companion, we booted up that iconic ID software logo, went into see my skin displayed there, ready to be played. I still remember that exact moment. After that I was hooked.

Quake 2 (not to down play the perfection of the first Quake), was one of the most important games of my life. It opened up my eyes to a new world of gaming and its possibilities. For that reason, I decided to make this Strogg Grunt from Quake 2 my final render of my big 4 projects, to complete the circle of creativity I started 16 years ago.

AND...

The other 3D models were a bit of a mess in many ways (I was practising after all), so I can finally share the details of this model with you all. The others were just too embarrassing.
